CHAUFFETTE MODEL
MUSHROOM enamel WOODSTOVE

DESIGN

MUSHROOM COLOURED ENAMEL CAST IRON exterior, interior STEEL firebox with original firebrick
NEW Mica Windows and REMOVABLE round grill cover for ONE SMALL cooking ring

this stove is a classic and beautiful piece of ART NOUVEAU industrial design by the most famous of all French stove foundries GODIN.
This stove is efficient for its age as it is partly lined with fire bricks,(they act as heat store)
It is surrounded by an outer shell of enameled cast iron which acts to circulate cold air past the firebox and up into the room
And because it is suitable for a central position : the decorative shell extends all round the back - this makes any simple woodstove more efficient -for other ways to increase efficiency please visit my blog

The colour is quite rare.
most models are ranges of PALE blues or browns.
It has a decorative pull-down cover over the Mica widow to protect it from damage. It has a side opening door

Takes logs up to 40cm
top baffel inside firebox to increase efficiency
The top "chauffette" plate of this wood stove lifts up to allow cooking on the firebox surface and the rest of the stove top can be used to warm items

This model is still in very good overall condition and is very suitable for use as a woodstove, a bio ethanol burner housing or as a decorative centre piece.
